I've been a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan since I was a teenager who turned on the television one afternoon, fell head over heels for Joe Montana's baby-blue eyes and movie-star smile, and ended up falling in love with football. 

 

In Fierce Fangirl, I'll discuss the biggest stories around the NFL, explore who the players and coaches are on and off the field, memorable moments from across the league, reflections on all things 49ers past and present, and show off some game day style. I’ll also talk about the intersection between entertainment and football, such as football-themed films and celebrity fans.

 

Being a 49ers fan is a big part of who I am, so is chronic illness. After a head injury led to POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and Vestibular Migraine, football became more than entertainment. The resilience, perseverance, and determination I saw on the field helped me keep moving forward, one play at a time. 

 

Whether you're a diehard fan, still learning the rules, drawn to the human stories behind the highlights, or simply wondering whether red cowgirl boots count as official game-day attire (they do), I hope you find something here that makes you laugh, makes you think, or makes you love the game a little more.
